Farahavar is known for his poems criticising the regime, in which he addresses environmental destruction, corruption, and social injustice.

International Demands

PEN Berlin condemned the death sentence and called on the German federal government to use every available diplomatic means to secure the revocation of the sentence and his release.

Human rights organisations are calling on the international community to increase political and diplomatic pressure.
